Star Fox... The Animated Series?

Source

Star Fox is a well known series among the wealth of Nintendo franchises. The series is a model of consistency, as are most Nintendo franchises. The first game came out in 1993 on the Super Nintendo. A Star Fox game has since been released on every Nintendo console except for the Wii. There were even two games released on the Gamecube. There will be another Star Fox coming out for the Wii U. The projected date is 2015, but I have a feeling it may land in 2016.

I think Star Fox would make a good TV Show. There are many reasons why I think this. First of all, the characters all have some type of back story. Whether it be Fox McCloud and his late father James. How Pigma betrayed the original Star Fox team. Or how Fox came to meet the new members of the Star Fox team. Also the relationship/rivalry of the Star Fox team and Star Wolf team would be an awesome recurring theme.

Secondly. There are a limitless number of locales/planets that episodes could take place on. All of them are distinctly unique. You've got Aquas, previously an arctic planet. Now completely submerged in water thanks to an enemy named Bacoon. In contrast you have Solar. An entirely molten planet, with a biological weapon placed there by the main protagonist Andross. The home world of the Star Fox team is Corneria. The most populated planet in the Lylat System, and home to the system's government. Let us not forget about the dinosaur planet, Sauria, from Star Fox Adventures. The game was not reviewed very well, nor did it perform as well as previous entries. Regardless of that, it is still a unique location with a handful of great characters. The most notable of those characters is Krystal, from the destroyed world of Cerinia. Krystal becomes a major ally on Sauria, and a subsequent love interest for Fox in later games.

Finally. The action packed combat would be the eye candy of the series. There are many Arwing battles/dogfights against countless different enemies and bosses. There are the Landmaster tank battles. As well as underwater portions with the Blue-Marine submersible. Since the game is centered around combat, there will be no shortage of action.

I am not sure what audience this show would target. If I had any influence with executive producers, I would aim for the same target audience of Teen Titans (2003). Fans of the games would probably be drawn to the show regardless of the target audience. I hope a show like this could last for a good amount of seasons. It could be a great show, with awesome merchandise.

"DO A BARREL ROLL!" Peppy has to say that in at least one episode.

Thanks for reading, and I'd definitely like to hear your thoughts about this idea. As well as tips to improve my writing.

I'm out.
