PS4 Hard Drive

The stock PS4 hard drive that is shipped with the console is 500GB. That seems more than adequate compared to the previous generations hard drives. The PS3's max retail hard drive offered is 300GB, which came much later in the systems lifespan. The size of the hard drive is misleading because of the huge game installs. Battlefield 4 was around a 48GB install size. Many other games are around that size also.

I have recently started to download more games which takes more space on the hard drive. From what I know. I also have PlayStation plus which gives you access to monthly free games. I download all of them so that I am able to download them again at a later date. As of the past month I've had to delete games from my hard drive in order to make space for newer titles. I want to upgrade my hard drive but I don't have the money. Not to mention the cost of an external hard drive to transfer data from the previous one to the new one.

I don't think I will be able to continue with the 500GB hard drive for much longer. Or I will just have to stop getting any new games. The chances of that happening is slim to none.

Hopefully I can upgrade one way or another.

I'm out.
